Each time the 'add to basket' button is clicked, the item is added to the permanently visible basket at a glance box. This facility removes the need to move to a 'view basket' screen each time a product is added and then the further need to click a 'continue shopping' button to return to the department to add further items.
In addition, the basket at a glance can be setup to display appropriate tax, discounts and shipping costs, enabling the customer to see their exact order total without the need to go in and out of the checkout.
