Compliant with the requirements of both PCI and the EU regulations on distance selling, micommerce manages the process of authorising, receiving and clearing payment for an order before it is allowed to be picked and despatched.
Compliance with the PCI-DSS regulations is now mandatory for all organisations that process credit card transactions. However, micommerce ensures that the requirements involved in compliance are kept to a minimum by integrating your web, telephone and mailorder card payments with the systems provided by SagePay. This environment ensures that the requirements on you are reduced to compliance Level 4, involving the completion of a self-assessment questionnaire, or (if, as most do, you take more than 50 ecommerce transactions per day) Level 3, which requires an additional quarterly server scan.
Payment methods such as credit/debit card, credit account, PayPal, Google Checkout, voucher and cash-on-delivery are entirely automatic, therefore when an order is placed (assuming the customer is within their credit limit), the only person who need touch the order, is the picker that packs it into the box.
Even non-automated payment methods such as cheque, bank transfer, cash/postal order and staged payments (or credit account payments that have exceeded their credit limit) require only one or two clicks on an authorise button to see them through to be picked.
