In most multi-user environments, a server is used to store all the product, customer and sales data that is generated within micommerce. This then enables all relevant employees (both internally and externally) to access the data whenever necessary.
In an environment with up to 25 users, we recommend a server of the following specification be used.
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft SQL server
- A 2GHz Dual Quad Core processor or greater
- 4Gb of memory
- A hard disk (preferably RAID) with at least 50Gb of free disk space
- A SVGA monitor running in 1024x768 or higher

100Mbps Ethernet network (preferably 1Gb)
In 1 to 3 user environments, it is possible to install the database and micommerce application on a standard desktop PC. Instead of using the full Microsoft SQL software, it uses the desktop version of MS-SQL present within the standard Windows operating system. We recommend however, that this machine have at least 3Gb of memory.
